| 1. Airport Access Fee – A fee paid by the car rental companies to the airport authority, for the use of shuttle vehicles, etc - usually passed on to the consumer. |

| 2. Agent: In immigrant visa processing the applicant selects a person who receives all correspondence regarding the case and pays the immigrant visa application processing fee. The agent can be the applicant, the petitioner or another person selected by the applicant. |

| 3. Airport Transfer - A transport service to/from an airport to hotel, etc, normally prepaid as part of a package tour, but available separately as well. |

| 4. Availability - The actual inventory of seats that are really available to be sold at a certain fare. Just because a fare is presented as "available" between two cities does NOT mean seats at that rate are available. This causes much confusion when airfare ads are published, so you must read the "fine print" before calling your agent and asking them to get that fare for you! |

| 5. Back-to-Back Ticketing- Booking two overlapping round trips with opposite origin and destination points, where both bookings meet restrictions required to obtain a discount fare (such as a Saturday-night stayover); then using one segment from each round trip for each direction of a single journey in order to get a lower overall fare. |

| 6. Baggage Check- Official receipt issued by a carrier for luggage. |

| 7. Blackout Dates - Refers to a date or series of dates on which travel is NOT available. |

| 8. Bellman - A person who carries one's luggage to a hotel room. |
 |
| 9. Base Fare/Rate - Price of a travel service before taxes and add-on charges |

| 10. Boarding Pass - A card given to a traveler indicating the seat assignment. |
 |
| 11. Capacity Controlled - Limitation on number of airline seats, hotel rooms, or rental cars available under a particular rate or promotional offer. |

| 12. Charter - Aircraft, motor coach, or other mode of transportation reserved entirely for use by a group. |
 |
| 13. Cabin Steward - The person responsible for maintaining/cleaning the cabins aboard ship. |
 |
| 14. Deck Plan - The drawing representing the location of the decks, public rooms, cabins, etc of a cruise ship |
 |
| 15. Exception Cities- Cities which have elected not to participate in the state contract for rental cars. |
